Elegant Table Lamp in Brass and Plissé Shade 1950s

This special table lamp in brass is from the 1950s, most likely originating from France. With its slightly tilted plissé shade and refined details in the base, it shows elegance and quality. The round base has ribbed sides and a subtely rounded edge. In the middle of the base an angled stem is positioned, holding the elegant translucent shade. On top of the shade there’s a brass cap, nicely following the shape of the shade. The thin brass rim on the shade makes a refined detail, nicely finishing this piece.

The piece was part of a private collection, according to the family of its former owner it used to be part of the interior of a luxurious cabin on a cruise ship.

The piece is in a good condition, both the brass and the original shade are preserved well. The shade was originally stitched on the inside. Please note the stitching shows the test of time, after decades the thread came loose locally.
