Large Folk Art 'Deutsche Post' Model Truck in Wood 1960s
This is a hand made folk art ‘Deutsche Post’ truck, made by a skillful woodworker somewhere in the middle of the 20th century.
Almost certainly German and presumably dating to the late 1950s or the 1960s, this truck shows great attention to detail and wonderful use of material. Just look at the front with these round lamps and the naively made grille, or at the lovely roof rack and the sliding doors (one is missing). The rich patina and signs of age and use make this truck even more desirable, adding a lot of charm to this already beautiful piece of folk art.
